Just a small sample group, found a third of those tested for antibodies had coronovirus and recovered and didn't even know it.

And THAT is just how we want it to be - just another bout with another common illness! Hopefully, that's what this will become in a few years ... and yes, it will take at least that long to work its' way through the population.

Oh thank you @blackandtan . I’ve been exploring around a bit. Just don’t wanna come off as rude because I don’t answer something that I don’t see. So nice thinking that y’all are all over the country. It’s cool.

We're not just all over the country, we're all over the WORLD! And don't worry about coming off as rude ... the courtesy police will find you! (Nah - just kidding - but you never know who might see and respond like it's a fact ... ) Sometimes we have to remind ourselves (and each other) that text-only communication sometimes comes off as rude or nasty when, in reality, just the opposite was intended. Then we just "like" the post and motor onward!
So - at the risk of being rude or pushy ( ) how has the Covid mess and "The Great Pause" hit you and yours? Y'all doin' okay?

The warm water one was verified by my pharmacist. He said to keep sipping warm water throughout the day. Apparently, the virus does NOT do well with heat and the digestive system kills it. So, I now drink hot lemon water instead of tea all day. There's a side benefit, too. It keeps me out of the soda, juice and Kool-Aid!

I don't know if it is accurate. It is a good visual for those refusing to mask up.
I think a lot depends on how the masks fit, what they are made of and whether the wearer is fiddling with them or not wearing them correctly.

Sigh I got one someone made. I took turkey eggs and traded my feed guy for pork and beef. As soon as I started talking the ear band flipped off my ear.
We were in an open on both ends crib with a gale blowing through. So no biggie but I sure didn't stop at the store on the way back.
I will have to try it again later. Maybe I just didn't have it on my ear correctly. I'm used to N95 going around the back

I certainly prefer the ties to the elastic. Ties can be made from strips of t-shirt no sewing needed. Can yours be modified to have ties??

I had a box of masks that I gave my hubs to use. When those are gone it is going to be the ones I make at home.
Perfect?.....no. Better than nothing at least.

I am using 3 layers of my best quilting cotton and building in a pocket for disposable filters.....if I can figure out hat filter material is best then that pocket is there.

Fit matters A LOT. I have found some patterns absolutely horrible for fit.

I am using this pattern and find it fits well for hubs while I had to decrease the size for myself.

This is a GREAT pattern! THANKS! I saved it the hard way, though ... I did the stop/start/write it down method ... and was nearly through the whole pattern demo before I realized that there was an English translation ...
