I’ve been following your progress my 6 ladies are around the same age as yours, I had a surprise when I got home from work the song was being sung and my petite little Easter egger Alfredo who is at the bottom of the pecking order was laying. Shortly after the buff orphington Nugget decided she couldn’t let her sister out do her!!! EEs must be earlier layers? I was shocked!

That is SO amazing!! It’a such a cool experience to go gather eggs for the first time! I wonder if it ever gets old? I can’t see that happening. Congratulations on your new layers and your beautiful eggs!!!!

I didn’t have any today. But now that I know I can get them it takes the disappointment out of it!

FRIENDS!! this morning I already had two eggs! By 10AM! And they weren’t there when I closed the coop up last night! Ahhhhh!

I think the greenish one is Henrietta again (go girl!) but I am wondering if the brown one is a new layer? It doesn’t quite look like Nicey’s other two eggs- what do you think of this comparison photo

The first two are confirmed Nicey eggs then the new imposter egg.
COULD I HAVE 3 LAYING PULLETS ALL IN ONE WEEK?!

It IS egg-citing!!! Congrats on all these eggies!! For me, it never grows old, it's still super fun to find these treasures even after all these years.

If they are all about the same age, its pretty common several of them will start laying the same week. Egg envy?

Non chicken people just don't get it. But we do here on BYC!! Most people keep photos of their kids in their wallet/phone. BYCers keep pics of their chickens and eggs. Keep those photos coming!!

Two more eggs today- same layers. Tuesday will be a week since they started and they only took one day off! Hopefully some other girls will get it together. The flock turns 22 weeks tomorrow! Hope all of you had an okay day after Halloween. I live in Michigan so had to deal with daylight savings time
