Cream Legbar Hybrid Thread

Perfect. Now if they have white head spots on their heads, they probably are males (not proven yet since they are hybrids). You can band and follow them. Have fun and Happy Easter!

Thanks you too! The 2 Australorp X have very faint light spots but not the Barnevelder X or Brahma X. How do your australorps look?

Barba and Bigote, my 7 week old pullets, had their first partial day outside in the little coop. They went out once before and were terrified, so I was sure they wouldn't like it.

Once they found little twigs and things to play with, they were fine. They figured out roosting pretty quickly. Their moms are pure legbar and the dad is either a legbar or a wheaten Marans. I think the one with the yellow legs might be pure legbar. The legbar rooster had yellow legs.

My 16 week old Legbar hybrids. Their mom is a Speckled Sussex and the dad is a Crested Cream Legbar. They were raised by a broody, so they aren't as calm as the others - makes it a bit hard to photograph them. I had to corner them in a stall. Meet Stella and Estel.

Mine look just like yours. I am not an expert so thats why I said they are hybrids so you can use it as a reference but not a confirmation.

Great looking pullets!

I picked up a cream Legbar cross last night and was really surprised at how pronounced the crest was. Cream Legbar is the only crested breed the breeder had so it has to be. All of the parents are purebred and the chicks are a mix of cream Legbar, BCM, RIR, Ameraucana. What do you think this little ones other half is? My guess is BCM. So much light on the head but it doesn't seem like a simple sexlink spot does it?

Also brought home this little black baby from the same mix. One half of it is obviously Ameraucana from its poofy little cheeks. The breeder said he has a black Ameraucana rooster.
