CROCHET BABY AFGHAN SHOWER PROJECT signups NOW OPEN & On Going

I cannot do multiple color changes

Mine look awful, if I can do solid colors and someone point me to a specific pattern, I went to the baby afghan site and it showed a bunch of them?? I am on dial up so maybe I didn't wait long enough for the specific pattern to come up?? How many do we need to do? I need to know if I can do solids as that is all I can do on something so small.

I found the pattern so forget that dumb question.
Em, that is so beautiful!!

Here is one I was practicing on with that pattern...it was too small with the g hook (vanna baby yarn pea green ..kind of "fat" yarn!!) so I added a sc border and then it was almost 4 1/2 " ..I think it would be just right with an F hook, I'll try that next...but the pattern is pretty and the solid color is nice too, I wouldn't worry about having solids and mixed ones..just know that if you do a solid at the color changes you will turn your square and of course NOT change your color, but you will have to turn or no space to dc in! Works out pretty though...

You know it might be more confusing to finish up one of these little ones.....
I'm gonna read back through this thread to see what the size etc needs to be and try a block - I don't have any vanna's yarn, and I'll need to wait till next shopping trip....

I think I can start some for you Skand... just don't count on it YET - let me get my yarn and such... and figure it out.

I bet I can squeeze a good few in an envelope!

...oh, and if I had followed the directions and left off the row of sc, mine would have been closer to the size of yours, lol!!! That's what I get for improvising or "froggin it" as Scoot says!!

I used wool-ease, which I imagine is similar to the vanna baby - although I'm not sure, I recon the squares can be stretched and pulled around to match up ok. I used a g hook.

Hey Scrambled, I thought "frogging" meant pulling something out and starting over ? don't wanna be doing that!

I need to get a few more pic's of Chuck before he leaves again, I'm going to CRACK open a very old bottle of Champagne tonight
