Ok, now talk about sleep deprived ... old age... just plain nuts.... after I posted here I tried again to get some sleep. No luck so I went back on line and went to the site of the directions AGAIN. I kept rereading the directions and looking at my work. Plus I have printed out the directions!! But no pics on my print out mind you. I finally scrolled down to the FINISHED bootie!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to fold it in half for Pete's sake!! so I now see what I was doing wrong.

After my discovery, I just went to bed, I was too tired to mess with it any longer. But now this old gal knows what she is doing...........well for the next few rows anyway

I have no idea how to FPDC and BPDC but I will scream for help when I get to the top of these booties.

Thanks for the advice, you guys are great! I will try a larger sized needle now, too.

Now it didn't end there girls............I took my dh's chain saws to have them sharpened this morning. Drove five miles into town on winding roads and then another five (more winding roads)to the other side of town to drop off the saws. They told me to come back around noon. I had time to go to the store and go home and put away groceries and jump back into rig and drive back!! I took my time backing up to the door of the shop...if you saw me backing you would realize that this is a big deal....only to discover I had left my purse on the kitchen counter!

So I had to drive home and drive straight back again to pick up the saws. You know I don't dye my hair this color for nothing!!
