Crochet "Chat"

I, like our squirrel mama, have hooks that have gone on strike. I have not worked on anything in over a month! Work at the PO always picks up in the summer and I have been busy with canning and preserving different kinds of fruit. I also had a pretty good excuse not to crochet when I cut my finger. It is the one I press my hook on while I work. I told my mother that my crocheting finger was out on workmens comp. for a little while unless I decide to finally get around to teaching my left handed self how to actually crochet with my left hand!

I will have to get back to it soon though if I am going to be the one hosting the hex. swap.

Back to cleaning my kitchen now so I can get the rest of my last year frozen elderberries juiced and turned into jam.

Hope everyone else is having a good sunday!

A c-section is major surgery, you are amazing to be doing so well already! Hope they did the stiching nice and tight so your tummy is flat for all your effort!! Ian is a nice name, I personally like the names that cant be shortened into a nickname, cept in this case his can be lengthened, lol!! Ian-okie smile J/K, good strong name, I like it, he can be anything he chooses with that name.

Been working on a simple stitch smaller afghan for a christmas gift, nice yarn but snaggly like the homespun and that is so aggravating!! It's a pretty veriagated yarn in earth colors though, one of the higher priced ones that I bought a year or so ago off ebay, hope to get that finished soon and in the Christmas gift box in the garage. What's everyone else working on?

HAHA I sure wish they could have stitched it together to where it would be nice and flat!! But unfortunately that will be a totally different surgery.

I found out after the fact that there is a dr there that DOES do Tummy tucks when you're getting a c section. I sure wish that I could have had that done!! Owell I still feel like I got who I was supposed to get, and he did a great job. My husband said that he is surprised at how fast my incision is healing. He said that it is healing way faster than the last one....but also said that the incision is much smaller than the incision with the twins. I know that, and that fact that I wasn't on bedrest for a month before this one was born, makes a HUGE difference. I can't rave enough about the awesome painkiller that they gave me in my spinal block. It was in addition to the Spinal Block. I feel like that painkiller is a miracle drug!

The recovery from the c section with the twins was sooo much harder than this. I have been dreading the recovery big time. I sm sooo relieved and soooo thankful that it has been this easy compared to the recovery with the last c section!!

My hooks are on strike too. I just can't bring myself to crochet anything right now....I better get them in gear soon! I have a lot to get done before Christmas, and very little time in the day to get it done!

Scoot, I hope your hubby gets to feeling better soon!!

yes he has it for life...last time was on his legs and it was so bad he ended up in the hospital....right now hes running a fever as his body is trying to fight off the infection pretty soon here i will have to put on rubber gloves and go squeeze out the pus and doctor it up!

Okie - Glad to hear that you and Ian are at home and are doing great.

Still love his name. If our 3rd girl was to be a boy "Ian" was going to be the middle name and what we were going to call him.

the only way we can get it is if we touch his wound with our bare hands then touch a wound we have....
but i have to wear rubber gloves to clean it ,have to wash his laundry seperatly, change bedding everyday,etc....he has his own towels/wash cloths things like that have to use lysol etc...when he first got it we had to change our lifestyle and buy alot of supplies...now its just an everyday thing to us.

Ugh, Hope DH gets better soon, Scoot.

My hooks are still on strike too. I am not sure if they will come out any time soon.

But that could be just because how tired I am right now. Everything looks dismal.

Early night tonight. Good night all!
Glad you are healing quickly, Okie!

oh man scoot!!

How contagious is it to the rest of you?

Good question...can the rest of you catch it? Sounds like this bacteria a teenaged boy got in town here from swimming in the lake and it has basically eaten away at his nose and face, horrible bacteria .... most bacteria is spread through contact, bet you all use alot of lysol. Is there a cure?
