The website is registered through "Big Top Domains".. I think it may be part of the same "company". The "Contact Us" portion of the website retrotoys.com lists:

US Purchase
Retro Toys
PO BOX 1035
ALIEF TX 77411-1035

That is the same PO Box of "Big Top Domains", who lists their Admin and Technical staff as Gary Giddings.

I would print out the e-mails, type up a letter and send it to the P.O. Box and the BBB. I would also dispute the charges on the CC for the unshipped merchandise.

1. Better Business Bureau

2. Dispute the charges with the credit card company you used to pay for it. You didn't get what you ordered/paid for.

ETA: online forums specifically related to the business & consumer reviews are a great place to make your voice heard

Looks like it is all just ran by one guy. So I doubt that is too much of a "business". Looks like a mom'n'pop Website who gets their products through drop-shippers?

Considering they also have http://retrocoke.com, I doubt that they have all of that product "in stock".

ETA:

I'd love to be your hero!

Just to add a positive note to this upsetting conversation..........recently I placed an order online for a toaster I was to give as a gift. I received it in the correct shipping time frame, however the outside box was pretty roughed up. I removed the outer box and the inner box looked fine, so I wrapped it up and gave it to the intended person. Upon opening it, when she pulled it out, the plastic was cracked and the metal was bent. I emailed them and told them what had happened and asked if there was any 'special' way I needed to mark the return info so that it would not be restocked. Surprisingly, I got a reply the next day that said - no need to return, we have sent a replacement. We are sorry for your inconvenience!

Wow! What a refreshing stance! We received the replacement toaster within the week. I will be using them again!! Thought we could all use a little reinforcement that not every retailer or customer service agent is out to get us.........cuz it sure feels that way more and more these days. Although with the current unemployment rates I haven't gotten near the attitude that I did say a year ago, like they were doing you a favor to do their jobs.....ugh!

Hope you can get this the attention it deserves! It is absolutely unacceptable to be treated this way - you could alert your TV station and newspapers - write a blog about the company - write Oprah - write Dr. Phil - just try to mess with their profitability.............get their attention. Also definately contact the BBB. Companies don't like getting a bad rating from them as it really can affect their business.

Good Luck!

I completely agree! That company is terrible and should certainly hear a piece of your mind!!

Yea I'm not sure emailing the company is going to do much, sounds like a one person operation. BBB is your best bet along with disputing it on your credit card or paypal,
whatever you used. The nice thing is.. now anyone googling that toy company will probably see this thread.... along with all the members here... I'd say that wouldnt be too good for business.

I would do every thing that every one has already suggested.. Then wait to see if it can be resolved, or wait to see if they wont resolve it.. Try to get your money back through your credit card..

Then you should post info about how bad this company was.. By going to www.ripoffreports.com !! This place will even investigate most claims. And if there is some one higher up on the list, a boss to this person. They will make contact with the boss and let them know what is happening.. And the good thing is that any person like you and me can view this complaint about the company..

I would search the companies name and the person running it on the rip off report website.. There may already be compaints about it..

Good luck getting this resolved....

I agree. The bad ones just stand out so much.

A while ago I had a problem with a misplaced box shipped USPS and got brushed off by the PO, so I called the company that shipped it. I got a really nice lady who told me not to worry about it, and said she would call the PO herself, and if she couldn't get it sorted out, she'd reship FedEx overnight shipping no charge. I was really happy.

Good things do happen sometimes. I always post on Rambles that involve customer service since I work in retail. I try to be so nice, and then companies like THIS go and ruin it. I hope the companies that said this goes out of business!
