This a.m., of the 16 Dels, 5 are in the brooder, at least 7 are pipped, that I can see, but it could be more.

One BR of the four hatched and the remaining 3 are pipped.
Both pure Blue Orpingtons are pipped.

Meg's baby is out, but not wouldnt have been without help. It was simply humongous and crammed in that egg so tight, that it was completely exhausted. Even when DH pulled off the "cap" of the egg, it still was too tight to move. Meg is RIR/Buff Orp from exhibition size stock and her baby is Suede's (Blue Orp), a combo which produces giant birds.Cant wait to see it in the brooder with the others.

Janet, Frieda's baby is a rock star, LOL. The moment DH put his hand in the brooder, it jumped into his palm. It was the first to drink without any assistance finding the water. We have a small stuffed duckie in the brooder that we usually keep for when a lone or just a couple of chicks hatch, and the little guy claimed the primo spot between its legs. DH remarked on how bright he thinks this one is, so he's hooked already. Pics will come in a bit.

Correction, of the Dels 5 hatched and 8 are pipped. Wouldnt it be awesome if all 16 hatched? Just hope this is done by tonight so Dh and I can sleep!

This is sort of funny. About 4 a.m. I had listened to the loudest cheeping of any brood we've ever had hatch here. My Dh came in from checking the bator and I said, "Wow, this is a noisy bunch!" He said, "Nope, that's just one chick". Janet, guess which one? Yep, the rock star, LOL!

Forgot to say that they all hatched clean, no navel issues whatsoever.
