Definitely a boy! I got hatching eggs from the same guy and I got 3 boys and 2 girls. I am planning on buying some chicks from him this spring, too. I want more variety, only black and 2 blue cockerels is what I got. Aren't his birds beautiful?

I have these birds also and I say he is definitely a cockerel!! especially the was he is standing straight up and the pointed feathers around her neck and distinct tail. I probably bought mine from the same guy!! If you let him know you have a male he may trade him out!

I've had a feeling that "she" was a roo. I know that Mike would trade out, but we're having a seperate coop delivered this week for these chicks, so I think we"ll keep him!
