Our 5-6 month old Silkie rooster named Silver is terrified of us and our older hens outside. Whenever I put him outside(He sleeps indoors right now), he will stay away from me and them while wandering the yard.
Whenever he's inside the house, I'm able to hold him on my lap without him freaking out or attacking me. He doesn't even attack our 3 dogs whenever they come sniff him.
He doesn't attack our baby chicks either. He seems more curious about them than wanting to kill them.
Sometimes when I'm outside with him, he will follow me but as soon as I turn around to see what he's doing, he'll run away from me freaking out with his wings flapping.
Is this great behavior for a cockerel?
He won't develop bad behavior later on, right?
