Humidity takes a while to stabilize after making any adjustments. Don’t panic too quickly. Let it settle in again after making any change.
And for your next incubation, I’d suggest rubber shelf liner with holes/grid instead of paper towels. The paper towels are blocking the humidity from rising and and are just sucking it up. You need more circulation.

not a big deal at this stage in incubation!! More humidity is better than less at this point! Spikes are better than drops! I would shoot for 65%, it gives you wiggle room to drop a little each time you open the incubator. The shells themselves take a little while to adjust humidity levels as well since the shell walls “breathe” but not very fast since theyre somewhat thick. 


I use it under my drinking glasses. You can wash in hot water, even a drop of Dawn or bleach, rinse thoroughly, and dry as much as possible.
