I speak German and am actually able to understand Dutch. Not sure how well Dutch speakers can understand German but still
I think I may retire in Germany or just go live/work there. I LOVE Europe. So much more than North America.

That’s great! I grew up speaking German because my grandpa from my moms side is German so there were lots of vacations spent there haha.

I tried to become an American for so long but it’s just a frustrating process, figured it would be easier to go back. I do really love it though! Maybe I’ll try again in a few years haha

Quick question for duck people, should I put him in the brooder by himself or is it safe to leave him in the bator tonight? It’s definitely warm and at least he’d have the other eggs

I would leave him in the Bator he will encourage the others to hatch

As for transporting him, if someone else is driving, you can tuck him inside your jacket, or up around your neck. Your body temp will keep him warm enough. (After he’s fully fluffed and dry, of course!)

Good idea! I’m considering getting him a friend should the others not hatch. Would that be beneficial or do ducklings do alright on their own?

Ducklings are definitely flock creatures and prefer having some of their own. If you think there’s a chance that none of the others will hatch, I’d definitely start looking for a friend. The younger the better.
