Wow love that egg-window idea! Wish I had known about it before doing my doubles, would have helped a lot I think.

I made the new waterer btw and they both immediately started snorkeling and blowing bubbles. I feel like such a bad duck mom for not realizing she wasn’t comfortable clearing her sinuses in the thing I had before.... Tony was doing it so I assumed she was too :(

Don't feel bad. Most people don't realize that you can't keep them exactly the same as chickens. I haven't had any ducks yet, but I read a lot on here.

Just feel like I should have been more observant, I mean I spend hours and hours a day with them... I guess she was doing it at first but grew too big to be able to or something

When you are with them every day, it is hard to notice the difference from day to day.

That is likely the case. Is she growing faster than Tony?

She’s actually a little lighter than him, last I checked she was 96 and he was 124 grams. Though she looks chunkier. I’ll weigh them again later. She actually seems back to normal today!

If not, it should be. :D
I've not researched much on keeping ducks, but I would think there's something out there like that.
I'm aware of it being a crucial aspect to keeping ducks just from random browsing here.

I sorta knew about them needing to do that but it wasn’t something I was paying super close attention to. Now with the new bowl they clearly “sneeze” into it a lot more

So little update, Penny seems fine today! She no longer has the dried white marks around her nostrils and her poops are more solid too instead of the brown squirts of last night. Gonna give them another warm bath today (after which they’ll get a nice towel drying which them seem to love <3) and I’ll add a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar to the water just to flush everything out.
I really appreciate all the help from everyone!
