Another option on air cells is to trace them with pencil, then just take a picture in normal light of the whole egg. Then folks can see the relative size of the air cells.

I have no idea how people get great pictures of candling.. trying to take a picture with my phone and holding egg and flashlight in hand is almost impossible. I tried my best for the pictures.. From what I can tell there seems three colors in the egg, the white, a yellow and then the darker-red vein area.

How exciting!I would like to join... I just put 12 eggs from my girls in on Wednesday Jan 31st. I have 3 magpies, 2 khaki Campbell, and 2 runner females in with 1 magpie and 1 khaki male so if they are fertile it should be a good mix. this is my first time incubating duck eggs, I have successfully hatched both chicken and turkey eggs as recently as the 21st of January. I am running a Brinsea Ovation 56ex with the humidity pump, currently I have the humidity set at 45%. I will be adding some Dark brown chicken eggs this next Wednesday so that they all hatch at the same time when I add the chicken eggs I will drop the humidity to 35% and then keep an eye on the air cell.

I bought my brinsea in Aug 2017 and I have run 5 batches in it. I love the way it holds the temp steady and the humidity pump is awesome!
I'm so jealous of your Brinsea! How many hatches have you done in it? Do you love it??
Good luck with your hatch!!
Trying more pictures these dont look right to me, looks like the air sac is on the pointy end of the eggs, and are not small at all. Two of them look like the last pic where the clear goes all the way from one end to the other. @Pyxis @WVduckchick @casportpony
