Easy Chicken Alfredo

Mine were under lights as well as my chickens. About 14-16 hours a day. The chickens responded to the light faster than the ducks but once the ducks started laying they laid better than the chickens.

My ducks are not in the barn. They have their own little house and pasture. They don't go inside except if it is icing and then they go in on their own I don't lock them in a house. They have full outdoor access 24/7. I open the chain link every morning and they play in the pasture.

Mine weren't locked in a house either. I opened the pen door for them to go outside every morning and herded them back in after dark at night when I turned the light off. The ducks hadn't laid for months until I started turning the lights on. I'm not sure why that was but that's what happened to me.

Miss Prissy, I only have muscovies but they aren't laying and I figured it was because it had to be close to spring before they started up again? Mine won't go into their small open-topped kennel anymore...they just stay in the yard and when it ices they go into the large garage and stay in there. the back of the three-sided garage faces north so they are fine in there. Lots of left over cinnamon rolls for just the two of us here. Yum! dh thinks he has died and gone to heaven!

A ( HICK SLAB ) of butter, LOL LOL you crack me up. When I was a kid I used to peel the paper back on a stick of butter and eat it like a popsickle. LOL no kidding.
