Egg hatching that still has veins pipped?

Aw second baby didn’t make it. Bummer, im not sure if i helped too early or if it was just too malpositioned. I did an eggtopsy and it still had a bit of yolk but the veins were all dried up and no more veins on the yolk.

When i helped it, it already seemed weak anyway, this breaks my heart I might rethink helping the third egg.
Edit: But I do need to remember that the first chick would’ve perished if i hadn’t helped it.

On the bright side, the first chick is gaining weight well!
Looks to me like it is zipping and ready to hatch. FEMALE budgies can be very aggressive to other budgies and any other bird.

It is unfortunate that people overlook the need for calcium. Thin shells, yes, but also seizures.
Oh sorry the third one is supposed to be in between the two under them. Tried candling the egg and to me it hasn’t internally pipped. Not sure if its malpositioned or just isn’t ready yet and just accidentally broke the shell. From candling it’s eyes look to be in the right position.

Sorry for the loss. Fingers crossed for number 3. Yeah for number 1.
Number 4 is doing th same thing, pipping but looks to be 2-3 days away from hatching. The beak is not even where the external ‘pip’ is. I think i’ll wait up and see if they start internal pipping. I have a feeling they might be breaking the shell as they get into position.

Oh no i think i did the wrong thing helping the second chick. Im not sure if it was not ready or what but the vessels were gone and the yolk was barely there when it “gave up”.

in my years of hatching and helping, have NEVER had eggs make holes but not pip, these ones did though! Im not sure if it is something to do with the parent or what sinc eincubation temp and humidity was perfect.

These eggs seem to make holes not from their beaks when they are going into position to hatch. Maybe the shells were too brittle? Well either way 36 hours later they seem to be preparing for the hatch. The egg shadowing, them moving around, ect. Hoping all goes well for the rest of these eggs.
