Aw second baby didn’t make it. Bummer, im not sure if i helped too early or if it was just too malpositioned. I did an eggtopsy and it still had a bit of yolk but the veins were all dried up and no more veins on the yolk.
When i helped it, it already seemed weak anyway, this breaks my heart I might rethink helping the third egg.
Edit: But I do need to remember that the first chick would’ve perished if i hadn’t helped it.
On the bright side, the first chick is gaining weight well!

Oh sorry the third one is supposed to be in between the two under them. Tried candling the egg and to me it hasn’t internally pipped. Not sure if its malpositioned or just isn’t ready yet and just accidentally broke the shell. From candling it’s eyes look to be in the right position.Looks to me like it is zipping and ready to hatch. FEMALE budgies can be very aggressive to other budgies and any other bird.
It is unfortunate that people overlook the need for calcium. Thin shells, yes, but also seizures.
