How do you cure an eggbound hen?

Even if you only suspect a hen is egg bound, giving a calcium tablet of at least 400mg can help her expel the egg. Giving her extra water to hydrate her is also important. And finally, placing her in a crate in a quiet, dim place with a heating pad set on "low" with a damp bath towel between the hen and the pad will further help her relax and push out the egg.
