Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

Does anyone have any recommendations for allergy relief during pregnancy?!?!? I'm one of those weird hippies who doesn't take medicine or eat crappy food during pregnancy because I feel like it completely affects the development of the baby. I know I know. I'm crazy. I've been using local raw honey in my tea but was wondering if anyone else had suggestions! It's driving me a little nuts!

What is everone's thoughts on cats? We were planning on allowing the cats access to Baby. Both are declawed so wouldn't be able to scratch up the LO.

We have two cats. DH takes over scooping duty as you can contract toxoplasmosis from the litter. We just didn't allow the cats into the nursery and we haven't had any problems in the last 18 months. In fact our HUGE Garfield type cat named Bob is fantastic with DS. Though I'm sure that's all down to specific personalities of individual cats!

And for all you soon to be or new and nursing moms. If you go to Seven Slings website or UdderCovers website and type in the code destination you can get free nursing pads, nursing covers and a free sling. You just pay shipping and handling. I think it's 12 for the sling and 10 for the cover or pads. You have to do two separate transactions if you want the free pads and cover. $20 for a cover and pads isn't too shabby IMO but I just thought I'd share!

had my Dr appt today and she said I'm 1 finger tip dialated!

Came home, and had a little bloody show! could be from doc disturbing things, but that's OK if it means she's going to come soon!

I was told not to have honey during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Why? I'm not exactly sure.

When my allergies were acting up really bad in the spring and early summer I took a regular Claritan before I went to bed at night. The Wal-Mart generic version is what I bought and it was around $4 for a box.

Yes, it is not recommended due to botulism contamination.
