Extremely swollen foot!! Bumblefoot, scaly leg mites, or something else!?

I don’t know where you live, but I found a bird specific vet in my city. You may google for one. They will often answer simple questions over the phone before you bring them in.

I am in Massachusetts. And thank you, that is a good idea. I will try that!

I would observe her activity to see if she limits activity herself, which some birds will do on their own. If she is not, then she might be placed in a crate, but always kept around her friends for company. Food and water should be in the crate.

Okay, I got some better pictures.



Also got a video which hopefully helps. She wasn’t really cooperating with walking towards me but I think you can still somewhat see her walking. At the end I realized that while she was still I could very easily take more pictures so I ended it haha but wanted to show how she walks cause it bends really weird when she walks. Idk if you can see that.

She was still mad at me for holding her for some of the photos which is why she was so uncooperative. That and she was distracted by the bugs I uncovered when I came inside.

And you can probably tell from the pictures and video but she is still putting full weight on it and does not appear to be in any pain or anything. Still acting totally normal.

Phew well that’s a bit of a relief!!

I didn’t notice any but I also wasn’t really looking too closely because I was so focused on holding her still for pictures. I will go out and look again now. But yeah, she definitely is and doesn’t seem to be bothered by it at all which is what is throwing me off so much. I find it so weird her foot could be that swollen and bend so weird like that and she would just act totally fine like nothing’s wrong.
