all twisted up si pulled it out it barely fit through the crack. When I made it inside I asked my mom if she would of came out and look for me and she said no. She thought I was playing out there. I was so cold but the day before it was below 40 and felt like -50 to -60.

Today’s question is tell us a cold weather story and tag a friend or 2.
We had a big snow storm a few years ago. I worked 16 hrs and came home and started plowing the drives. There was a 4' drift. I was so tired I forget to angle the plow. I rammed that drift and went up and got high centered. The snow was so high I couldn't open the door... I had to go out the window... and went Head first into the snow.:gig

Thought I was gonna drown in snow:barnie
I had a 2x4 in the bed of the truck and got the snow out from under. Didn't have a problem when the plow was angled

Got a couple of hours of sleep and had to go back to work.

Morning Ellie :frow

When I was quite young, I hadn't figured out the concept of gravity and ice. Had a bridge pretty well iced up, but I had a 4X4 and it climbed well, so up I went... Got to the top and see a bunch of cars in a pile up on the other side so as I started going down, gravity took over but I was able to steer away from the pile up and landed in a field off to the side. Pretty much cured me of driving on ice if I don't have to.

Well yesterday, I was outside when suddenly I noticed the whole run was flooded! (It's been raining a lot here in Southern California in the last couple of days) All the chickens looked fine. The water was so deep that you couldn't see their feet. My smallest chicken Cleo Patra an eastrer egger, was extremely wet. So, I opened it up to take the water out and they all rean out. They all went under my patio. I had to take all the water out. It was an arduous task. Anyway, they seemed fine in the water. After, I took it out, they ran back into their warm coop.
