I like seeing those chick pics! I want mine to hatch already! barely got my first pip an hour ago. She pipped barely at the edge of the air-cell do y'all think she'll be ok?

Probably fine, the air cell is likely bigger than it looks, they tend to draw down quite a bit even the next day after you put them in lockdown.😊

I need some advice from you guys. I have another egg that pipped....but on the wrong end. I have helped in the past and removed the shell where they pipped so they can breathe.... this one, I dont think she pipped a hole big enough and im stuck at whether I should help and remove some of the egg shell that she cracked and see if its big enough and risk getting her and the other egg shrink wrapped...or should I just leave her alone? I hate being put in these situations. They're on day 19 1/2. So far only two have pipped.

just a couple days back there were two guides linked here. they are from the learning center articles on assisted hatching. even if you google 'backyard chickens guide to assisted hatch' youll probably find it.

I found a couple, but not really helping me lol The one by sally sunshine basically says that if the hole is big enough and they get oxygen, to leave them alone. She doesn't state what should be done if the hole is small and they may not be getting oxygen. This one just has a crack, no hole or anything which is concerning me.

I'm stuck between...if I help remove the cracked shell so she can get oxygen, she might then get shrink wrapped. Solving one issue and creating a new one.

I'm in the middle of my first hatch, ever. So i'm not much help sorry.
But what you descried sounds accurate. You help from one issue, but also walk into a hallway which has a few doors. Which doors open is kind of random, but be prepared for about 4 different doors and the troubles that come with each one. lol.
