Five-month old Australorp suddenly lame. Update: Now another pullet going lame!

Very sorry May's fight has reached its end. I had fully hoped and believed that after she (mostly) recovered from complete paralysis, she would be ok. The devil you know (lymphoid leukosis) may be better than the devil you don't (mareks disease), but both are surely devils.

And you are no mere "housekeeper", azygous. The care you provided May was beyond extraordinary. We who watched will not forget. Rest In Peace beautiful, gentle little May.

I have power failures when it's raining, snowing, windy, and sunny and calm and clear. I have power failures on Christmas, Easter, and my birthday. I bought a generator twenty years ago, used it once, and sold it. They're more trouble than they're worth. I have a good brain, it runs on very little non-polluting fuel, and I just figure out work-arounds when I have no power.
I like your approach.
