does the 'pox" germs stick around in the soil for a long time . I guess what I am asking is are you always going to have to fight the pox virus no way to permanently kill it and can your once exposed/infected and healed chicken catch it again?? Can you breed for immunity???

Here's the super technical information on what qualifies as a "paint" as far as being registration eligible

There are "breeding stock" paints (solid horses but the offspring of qualified, registered parentage) - and there are also paints who's markings are not visible in a natural, standing position.

They can be registered as a Breed Stock Paint if both parents are reg paint and they have too little white.
