The birds pictured are red sex links (commonly sold as ISA Brown, Red Star, Golden Comet, Cinnamon Queen, etc - because it sounds cuter than red sex link) - sex links are great because male/female determination is easy and certain due characteristics that are directly linked to gender - in your case brown with white = female (male would be almost all white with bits of red/brown on the wings). These lovely ladies will load you down with big, brown eggs before you know it!
