I checked the contest. I'd forgot about chicken lady's post. that was a good one too. She has eight along with someone else in this thread. Me and twist five. Wishing with ten and the lead. Can't remember anything else. I know Jane was doing well. May have been her or granny with eight.

Good lord I picked up another turdlett dragging 7 around . Didn't realize you got one at 750 ovations. next one is at 1,000.

Red, good on ya for the self control regarding your broody.  It will get easier if/when you hatch again because you'll have this experience under your belt and see how they really do know what they are doing and what a simple, fuss-free way of growing your flock a good broody hen can be. 

Twist - really, you were in the shower singing?  I seem to remember you thinking you were rather clever with a particular question about singing in the shower............

I can't wait to see her teaching her little chicks. I hope she's a good mom.

Red, its so much fun watching broody momma with chicks. My first ever broody was this summer & she would let the chicks jump up on her back & try walking around with them on there. My Silkie this fall never did that with her chicks. My other was a much better mother, but it was a first time for them both.

my memory isn't so bad once I have enough coffee problem being trying to drink that much liquid in a day
