Great, now I am a nervous wreck. All that worrying for nothing.

increased vascularity means increased blood flow to the area. I don't want to scare you but tumors are very vascular. I have a friend who is 27 and diagnosed with lymphoma who had a lump more in his armpit. He is responding very well to chemo. You just have to wait for the biopsy to see what's going on some times s tumors can be just benign cells growing.

Most nodes related to cancer are not painful. I said MOST...I'm sure some are. Have you had a cat scratch on that are or any other kind of injury, cut, scrape, etc? Cat scratch fever can cause an enlarge, painful lymph node under the arm.

Absolutely correct. There is more blood flow in that area...but....that could mean that your body is trying to filter an infection more efficiently by increasing blood flow to that area or it could mean tumor. Don't stress yet. I know thats easier said then done. Just keep in mind a tumor can be bening...meaning NON-CANCEROUS. It could be just cells that decided not to do what they were supposed to do and just continued to grow. Your Dr. will just remove it.

The biopsey will tell your Dr. for sure if there is anything to worry about. For now...breath....

Remember to breath...

If it IS malignant, you can handle it then. Especially if something like NHL which an onc friend of the family told us is like the "best" cancer to get (take that as you will).

But...most lumps of this nature are benign...especially if it is painful (not saying all cancerous lumps aren't, but painlessness is usually a sign). It might be a weird infection, or a node's response to an infection of some sort elsewhere in your body. Just try not to stress yourself too much.

I do have a cat, and yes he can play rough. I think I can handle that. Round of antibiotics and we are all set.

Cat Scratch Fever......
I wish there were music notes on this keyboard.

OK the whole tumor thing is scary. I wonder why every time I hear or see that word my brain repeats it in an Arnie Schwarzenegger voice? "Too-more"

I am really trying not to freak out yet but it isn't easy. Got a lot of yard work done though.

Breathing is one thing I am having a hard time with. Not to mention a nervous stomach. Didn't sleep much last night, kinda hypochondriacing hard.

Finally got an appointment with the surgeon to get another appointment for the biopsy. I will try to get him to do it Thursday when I see him instead of making another appointment.

All the waiting is not a good thing. Gives me time to google.
