That's really freaky! One time I found this gelatinous egg thingy in the nestbox from one of my marans. Someone dared me to cut it open and post the pics on byc. When I cut it open there was a thin shelled dark brown egg in there. The hen totally lays normal eggs now ..just a freak thing.
Next to a plastic egg just to show size.
