I think my dog Moki would be a better book. Short story: Moki showed up at our home one day. We took him to the pound in town, which is a 50 mile round trip from our house. 4 weeks later he was at our house again. We adopted him, got his shots, microchip too. Someone shot Moki. The Vet said he wouldn't live. He lived. He sticks very close to home now! He is gentle and loving and the perfect gentlemen! He has one blue eye and one brown eye.

It was extremely frustrating trying to get antibiotics to treat Harvey! The only vet that will see chickens is 70 miles away, charges $100 for you to walk in the door and is rarely available. If my husband hadn't searched the closet and found the dog antibiotics Harvey would have died for sure. I recently went online and bought some "Fish Mox" (tetracycline) tablets. I first ordered them from Tractor Supply, but received an email the same evening that they cancelled my order. I think I ordered from "Chewy" and did receive it. Thanks for following and caring for Harvey!![]()
I love Moki too. Moki is a Hopi Indian word meaning "deer". His last name is "Kasa", the Hopi word for "encased in fur". Moki runs full on just like a deer escaping! And he has plenty of fur!!How cute is he... I think I love him!
Oh, I never thought about using the Fish Mox for me! I guess that could save one a ton of money. I'm thinking of ordering more just to have on hand. One can never tell when the "out-of-state" suppliers will catch on to California laws!!! Luckily I am rarely sick. I actually can not remember the last time! I don't get UTI's (knock on wood) colds, and I don't think I've ever had the flu! I've been blessed with great health. I think part of that is because I never smoked, ever.We keep fish mox and fish flex on hand at all times. I store it in the freeze. Not for the chickens but for me. I am prone to UTI's I know when I have one and when they happen I don't want to spend $100 bucks for the DR. to tell me I have one and then buy then prescription. So I take those at the recommended dose and length and save a ton of money. At least I will have them if the chicks get sick also.
Tell me more. Where do you buy it? How do you know how much to take?We keep fish mox and fish flex on hand at all times. I store it in the freeze. Not for the chickens but for me.
