Just spoke to hubby he will be coming home tomorrow ,i am heading back over there in a little while but am ready to stay 3 more days if needed ,just dread that drive but i know it is almost over and things will get back to normal for him.

Funny thing is he has a permanent job starting up next month as he had been working for a contractor the last year after being laid off after 20 years of service and i wanted him to take a month off before he started to get some things done around here and spend some time together as he is a work-a-holic and never takes time off if there is OT so i guess i got what i wanted in the end LOL he told me yesterday i guess ya got your way but did ya have to be so hard on me LOL, got to love him

Sweety, if you are going to pray, then don't worry but if you are going to worry, don't pray. Least that's what my granny always said! Are you sure you really turned it over to God? All of it? Submitting to God's will in any situation in life takes some practice and it isn't always easy to try it in a bad situation....just doesn't come natural when you are used to fretting through bad and stressful times.

You might look around and see if the message you are getting is one that you just don't want to hear....like, having hundred's of animals is real inconvenient when humans are in a crisis. Maybe this event was allowed to transpire to prepare you for other times when God may need you to be free to act and concentrate on real life issues without the problem of hundreds of animals. Could be this thread is a wake up call for others who have pinned their lives down to caring for many animals and would be put in the same situation you are in if their families had real life emergencies.

How do I get through it? Concentrate on letting go and letting God's will be done, accepting that whatever happens is something that is in a plan bigger than I and leaning on God to provide comfort and relief or, at the very least, some education out of the whole deal. I try to look around for the "why"....in every difficult time in my life, there was a lesson to be learned and something I could apply to other hard times.

Yes i turned it over to god and he has gotten me threw this time,

It turns out the pain i am feeling is my DH it still comes and goes just like his.

I really don't think god wants us to shut down the farm after 25 years because of one incident so we will keep it as it is , my dogs took good care of the place while we were gone and with all the theiveing going on in the area i was not worried one bit while we were gone.

Thanks for the reply.
