Hen not eating and losing weight...

we do have access to pretty much medicines here. But what we use best as an antibiotic is augmentin. So i'll try to give her this or any other antibiotic as prescribed by the vet. Another point is the vet here are much cheap so we have access to them all the time not worrying for the expense.
It's good that you have access to vet care, hopefully you can get some medication and begin treatment.

Please keep us posted.

Not very knowledgeable myself... is that garlic slices you have in her water? Could that maybe be making her less likely to drink it? Our chickens won’t touch foods with a strong garlic flavor, and I’ve never seen them eat onions or raw potatoes either. Again I really don’t know much about chicken nutrition or medicine, so I thought I would ask... Best of luck with your hen, and I hope your rooster was tasty! (Sounds like he had it coming for more than the one reason)

i occasionally give my flock garlic either in their feed or in the water to just give the immune system a boost.Raw potatoes and onion in a specific quantity are not so good for chickens. I've been keeping hens for almost a year but still am a novice. The rooster was delicious,my mum made soup of it.I'll keep posting update of my pullet.

I'm glad your rooster is doing better. You could try to give it a little bit of yoghurt just to give it something easy to eat. Have you separated it from your flock yet because a disease like Mareks could be easily spread. Make sure it stays hydrated and just let it relax. Have its symptoms gotten worse or are they getting better? Hope he gets better.

i euthanized her today...her symptoms got worst so i had to release her pain.

That is sad, I'm so sorry but I'm sure it was the right and responsible thing to do.

Do you feel able to open her up and look at her internal organs. If it was Marek's you may find tumours. It helps to know what you are dealing with. If you are able to do a post mortem examination and you can find someone to take photos of anything unusual you find, we would be happy to look at them and help you try to figure it out.
