When my fella first suggested getting chickens in our backyard, I wasn't too sure about the work and maintenance involved and how much we would connect with them.

Boy was I wrong to even question it!

We've been keeping bantams now since July 2016 and they are the loves of my life!

We've had quite a few since we started but we currently have 8. All girlies, 6 polish (two cuckoo - Daphne and Connie, one white - Alice, one gold lace - Honey, one all black - Velma and one with a white crest - Domino), a really sweet black silkie called Sylvie, and our newest youngest girl Stella who is a 4 month old Silver Sussex and just started laying!

I have a beautiful sweet little Bantam hen that is 10 mons old, I rescued here back in November. I am looking for someone who has bantams that would take her and be kind to her, I can't keep her because my other hens are mean to her and I have to keep her separated from them. I want her to be with other chickens not have to live alone.

I am relatively new to chickens, and I am already addicted!!! I just ordered 3 bantam to be delivered in June, which will bring my grand total to 7. I just made a list of other breeds I might want some day. Chicken math....
