That does not look like an infection it looks like it is broken.
Can you take it to the vet?
Thank you, upon inspection last night I'm pretty sure it's the hock join. There are no broken bones, we carefully felt both legs and they both felt the same. The only difference was the hock jointLook up "varus valgus deformity" in poultry. That looks similar to that or a slipped or ruptured hock tendon. If it is not that, I would suspect a leg injury.
