My dad's a fireman, and one night while on duty he was bit by a mouse while on duty. They had him go to er (you know how businesses always send to er no matter what) and they gave him some kind of shot. For a long time after that you didn't want to walk in his fd room at night. He set out mouse traps all over the room.
