She’s not getting worse but she’s just not getting better. The coconut oil is no longer helping.

She doesn’t exactly act healthy but she’s not acting super ill either. She eats and drinks fine but is sleeping a little bit more doesn’t seem like herself and isn’t laying.

I don’t think I have the skill and I’m not sure I could bring myself to. And I probably couldn’t forgive myself if she got hurt

What exactly does the crop feel like in the morning?
She's not laying eggs?
Is she molting?
What treatment(s) have you given? Just the coconut oil or anything else?

OK. Let's take a look at all of this again. Forgive me, we are 11 pages in and I need you to refresh my memory here.

In the morning it feels very hard and full but normally at night it feels a lot better and just a bit bigger than a normal crop. She has not laid in about a week. She is not molting. I have been doing coconut oil about 1-2 times a day but it doesn’t really work. And I gave her the stool softener once a day for 3 days straight but not anymore and it didn’t work.

Also I gave her the coconut oil this morning then since she was pacing the fence and being cooped up isn’t helping i let her out with the other hens after she ate and her crop felt more empty than it has at night.

I don't blame you for letting her with the others. I rarely separate a bird unless they are in danger of being attacked by the flock.

You can still give the coconut oil, but I think I would see how she does after a day with the flock, then re-check the next morning.

You are checking her crop before she eats/drinks in the morning correct?
