Did the six hour one break the shell?

I've been looking at it for an hour and it's pecking at the same shell price and it's not going anywhere.

I think either the shell is too hard or the chicks are weak. But why is this a problem did I do something wrong?

It might be that they just need more time - they might start to actually zip before you have to assist.

If that ends up not being the case it could be a malposition preventing them from hatching. Or it could be other things too. No way to know for sure until the hatch is over. Chances are you didn't do anything wrong.

Yes it made my chick make noise and start to try breaking the shell.
