Incubating Geese Eggs

Hello everyone, I’ve been inactive for a little while but I’m back! I still haven’t found a friend for Mr goose but I’m searching. The other lady sold hers. Challah has grown like crazy! He has big goose feathers on his wings and tail. They grow up so fast. I’m trying again with another egg which is fertile! I wanna try just so when they’re older they can have friends that are the same breed.

Hey I am so glad you posted I was just thinking about you two today. Callah looks great and I sure hope you can hatch a friend for him. He’ll be so happy to have one of his own although he probably thinks your one of his own too. Are you letting him have a mirror so he can see himself?

Hi! Yeah I really hope I can find another too. Somebody actually wants to take him and supposedly has another duck but I’m not sure. Because I have another on the way I really don’t know what I should do. He had a mirror until he outgrew it but everytime I hold him I sit him in front of one and play him baby geese sounds and geese in general on YouTube and it seems like he responds. Do you think his parents would accept him or reject him?<- once he’s of age

If you go about introducing him by putting the side by side with a look but don't touch pen for how ever long it takes. They will eventually become a flock although 2 ganders can have problems. Since you have another on the way maybe you should at least wait in case the egg does hatch? then he'll have a buddy. But of course it is always up to you. He won't be as happy with a duck as he would with geese just saying.

Hi everyone! My exams are finally over!
I had some chicken eggs that were to hatch the same day my goose would and something told me this morning to check the goose egg and lo and behold he is cracking on the shell in his internal pip!!!! I almost screamed but it’s day 27 so I expected this much. He is currently in another incubator, humidity around 70%. Wish him luck!!!

External Pip!!! Not rocking or peeping nearly as much as the first one so I’m suspecting maybe a female?? I think he/she is going to take their time so another two days but hopefully less.

Did you make an air hole or did the little one do it itself? Awesome hope it pops out soon!!
