Is this okay to give my dehydrated chicken?

Basically I've been asking on here about what to do for a sick chicken I have..I know she's dehydrated and was just wondering if this will be okay to give her to help get her rehydrated? I can pick up some gatorade but I've read mixed reviews about giving chickens gatorade. She's 6-7 months old if that helps.

I found this online its a homemade electrolyte recipe:

1 cup of warm water

2 teaspoons molasses or 2 teaspoons granulatd sugar

1/8 teaspoon of salt

1/8 teaspoon of baking soda

1/8 teaspoon potassium chloride(optional)

any help would be appreciated? Would that hurt her or would it be okay? I've opened another thread describing her symptoms but I'm not 100% sure what's wrong yet.

Calm down, she can feel your stress, then she’ll get upset too. Try to breath...well get you through this. My little guy couldn’t eat on his own for 4weeks..,but doing great now!! This does work!
I'm going to try to calm down. Your help and kind words are very appreciated. It's just that she's my favorite, and while skittish at times, has always been my sweetest and would come cuddle with me (on her terms, of course), so I really want to give her every chance possible.

I know what you mean, my Little Lou, who was hurt and I tube fed, was always the runt, always my favorite, I always wanted him to have everything that that the others could do...broke my heart when he couldn’t keep up. Now he’ll never keep up, because I couldn’t go to the vet, and the leg didn’t heal right. I have a farm...with 100’s of animals...I can’t take them to the vet each time they got hurt...I did when we started and it cost $600 for a rabbit. So, that was that. But Lou does great...he loves the goats so he lays with their bedding most days...:)

I've been giving her water from a dropper to give her a little bit of water at a time at the front of her beak for her to swallow.
That's not enough, she needs at least 5% of her body weight per day, more if she has diarrhea and is already dehydrated. Would you like to learn how to tube fluids?

Oh gosh, thank you! I will give her more tomorrow if she's still with us. I would tonight even, but I just didn't think she'd take any since it's already dark here. About how many times a day would you split that up?
She needs to be inside where it's warm.
Should I try for more water tonight, or do you guys think she'll even take any since it's dark?
She should not be given any fluids until she is inside and warmed up.

I don't mind the work but am terrified I'll hurt or kill her. I've been using a dropper (holds about 1mL), and she had about 12 of those today. She swallows it well when I put it in the front of her beak, but she won't take it by herself from a waterer and seems incredibly weak. How many of those droppers do you think she should have a day?
Let her explain how to do everything, but I wanted to give you some hands on cheering...I’ve been where you are now. My very sick duck almost died. I had to tube feed him fluids and his feed four times a day...it eventually worked...he is doing much better...she can explain how. If you can’t get aquarium tubing like she’ll explain, I was able to get a catheter 60 ml tube from a local vet..$1..it was the easiest part! The duck was in no pain, and it is very easy to do because you can see the tube go down to the crop...you CAN do this!! Now she can give you the medical info, I just wanted to pump you up first :)

I'm sorry for my ignorance, guys! I really appreciate your patience! This is my very first chicken illness, I'm very attached, and I want to do everything I can to give her a chance if she has one.
Nothing to be sorry for, we’ve all been there...and that’s why we’re still on this site, we want to help other new people help their animals!
