Chicken math is real. I have now ended up with 30 chickens, 29 different kinds :gig will you add to your flock in the spring?
Wow. I can see how this could happen. If my coop was bigger..... Lol. I had a hard time this year but had to restrain myself. Now struggling to figure out what 8 for next year. I want to get a few extras in case any die or are roos. Then just re-home extras but it will be hard to choose what ones.

Are you going with feather legs only?

no. I know I want a couple more EE (want more pretty eggs), I will get 1 or 2 Sicilian buttercups since that was my daughters fav that ended up passing away. Then a buff Brahma, another Salmon Faverolles, I will hatch some cochins and keep 1 or 2 I think. then if I can find them thinking maybe a cream Leghorn since yours was so cute and I want more pretty eggs. LOL and debating on an orpington (would love lavender but they are hard to find)

so have 7 breeds I want but want doubles of a couple since the doubles would be a different color most likely. Not sure if I would keep a black cochin and splash or 2 splash (if I get them) though. then the EE would be different colors most likely.

No we won’t be able to add due to city restrictions. We live in town and we are only allowed 4 hens no roosters. We only intended to have three. Emma, Kat, and we had an australorp who didn’t make it 24 hours. TSC requires you to take a minimum of 4 chicks at a time, we asked for only 3 due to our community. Luckily they let us. But when we went back a week later to ask for one more bird to replace the one we lost my wife couldn’t say no to two- so 4 it was after all! Lol so we will stick to these girls for now

We are only allowed 5 and no rooster and it is hard because there is so many different breeds. Our coop can hold more than five. We can get 2 more though.
