Beautiful pictures, thanks so much for sharing!!!! It is great that you can take them to the lake and they will return to the pen with you. I am amazed they would want to leave the lake! It's beautiful!!!

I’m amazed any of my ducks choose to leave the lake Thankfully, since these guys are still ducklings, they’ll just follow me around like I’m their mama (I basically am ). I’m trying to teach them the words ‘food’ and ‘treat’ now so they’ll keep returning as adults.

Ohh, I meant to add before - I know it’s super early, but I’m thinking Coffee might be a fooler! I heard them peep-honk a few days ago, but’ve heard nothing but peeping since - this is exactly what my fooler boys did. I’ll still be giving the Littles another week to make sure.

Also, I completely forgot that my adult’s birthdays were on March 1st Cherry turned 6 years old, and Pitaya and Caramel both a year old!

Yes mine have been foolers also before. I would keep praying for Hens and think for sure that they were and then they would start chasing my Hens and show their stuff to prove they were not. It was always a shocker to me. I have no idea what my two little Calls will be at the end of the month. Hopefully just healthy and alive since our weather is so unpredictable. Happy Birthday to your Duckies!!!

I did a “photo shoot” earlier this morning with the Big 5 My adults stopped by as well towards the end. I’ll be taking photos like this of the Little 5 in a few weeks once they’re a bit older and have more of their adult plumage.

Guava is definitely a boy. I believe Coconut and Coffee are boys as well, yes. 7 girls, 3 boys
