I was worried one time and was told if dry it gets yellow. That is how my chicks membranes lookedDoes this membrane seem dry??? I don’t see how it could be, but I don’t remember them being so white. Dry hatch with humidity 69% at lockdown. Currently 86%

"My beautiful chicken"!!! OMG, I love it! That's so sweet. My two year old kept yelling "Ayyyys!" whenever he saw the eggs in the incubator (that's how he says eggs), and after they started hatching, whenever we'd go check on them he'd say "HI!!!" as we walked up. He still says "Hi!" every time he goes up to the brooder! I just love hatching and having chicks around the littles, they enjoy it so much and learn to appreciate and respect life as a result. All my kids have watched me hatch out birds and are very kind to animals (after a few close calls and tragedies) because they learned to cheer them on with me and respect the struggle they went thru just to come into the world. Can't think of a better lesson I'd like to teach my children than that all life is precious and should be treated as such. I just love chicks and chickens for giving my kids that valuable lesson“My beautiful chicken” as my 3 year old calls is, hatched in the two hours I was outWe’re just in time to watch the other unzip though!

She is so obsessed with them! The cutest thing ever was when we were collecting eggs earlier this spring and she found one, then gave them a thumbs up and said “good job lil chickies!” It’s so nice to be able to share the excitement and animal love with someone every day (most of my other kids are just as involved). They’ve learned so much about caring for animals, the different development stages during candling, etc"My beautiful chicken"!!! OMG, I love it! That's so sweet. I sleep on the couch at hatch time and spend a few extra days out there making sure the babies stay under the heat! My family thinks I’m nuts!Yes! I was the same and probably will be again next week. I'm glad I found this thread so I know I'm not the only one! I even left my husband for the first two nights that the chicks were in the brooder so I could sleep on a mattress on the floor beside them!
