I think I might keep a boy but man, deciding on which cockerel to keep is going to be so impossible.

On the plus side, I’m starting to think the EE may actually be a girl instead of a boy now so hopefully I’m right.

Also I’m getting more chicks in April, some of which are straight run, so I may keep a bantam cockerel instead. Haven’t decided yet. Really like some of these guys though especially the BR. Or I may keep both Welsummers and have a pair. Don’t know yet. Still only 3 obvious boys so we’ll see if any more show themselves.

Also, maybe I’m wrong (Probably am. Probably wishful thinking.) but I’m really starting to think I still only have the 3 boys.

I havent been on the boards alot lately. I started reading this incubating thread because I remember we live near each other. I got to like page 44 and had to skip ahead. Kind of like reading the last page of a book first LOL. Looks like you had some success at least. I have to go back to like page 150 an start reading again. Just wanted to say hi! I did my first hatch last spring and I plan on hatching again soon. Heading to the poultry congress this weekend to see what they have.

It’s okay! You don’t have to read the whole thing! It was a bit chaotic at first anyway feel free to just jump right in!! I ended up with 9 chicks out of the 13 eggs. 10 made it to lockdown but one was DIS. Still, I think it was great for my first hatch and shipped eggs. ended up with tons of boys though I think do you need any!? but hi!! Glad you found this thread!! and oooohhhh I didn’t even know about that!! Sounds like fun!! May have to go! Although I’ll probably be working on the new coop this weekend.
