So I was wrong on the crop issue... I carefully read through an article by twocrows, and several threads and checked her multiple times throughout the day, it’s not an impacted crop as I originally thought, it is a “doughy” crop... which seems like it might be more difficult to treat... one step at a time!

I also spent the day ripping out and replacing our sink in the trailer. Here are a few pics of what I was up to between recycling and dinner, in addition to the chicken crop massaging and all that other normal stuffs. 1/3 of the way through the reinstall... the sink the trailer came with barely fit my plates! And I hardly lost any counter space... most of it was to the right which wasn’t useable anyway!View attachment 1848504View attachment 1848505View attachment 1848506
Tomorrow I tackle hooking up the faucet and drain pipes, trying to make the stuff Andrew picked up on the way home work with what is there. The drain to sink connections need to move back 4-6” and the right basin is not as deep as the main one... of course the whole assembly is glued together solid, so I don’t know exactly how I’m going to make it all fit, I said 1 1/2” elbows and a Y. I got a random assortment of 1 1/4” straight pieces, a p trap and such, so this is going to be a challenge!

I really am in awe of you Kris. You seem to be able to turn your hand to anything!:clap
I hope the sink comes together without any hiccups.:fl

Thank you, but :gigit’s (insert horror movie music score here) plumbing! We are on sink replacement day 4 now, and expect to have it working tomorrow. Yesterday we got everything hooked up, the sink and faucet siliconed down... and failed our wet test. I expected that, things always leak! So don’t tell any real plumbers this, but I’m using my “secret plumbing weapon” on this project, silicone! Lots of it... The drain is leaking from a screw together joint, one of these thingies. (Excuse the disaster in the background)

I figure about 1/4 tube of silicone will remedy that just fine! I’m going to lose some storage and have to shorten my kitchen drawers about 4” to accommodate the deeper sink.

But for the extra cleaning space... it’s worth it! Here is my “After”. The frying pan is for perspective, Charlie for cuteness. He is getting away with sitting there because it’s currently the only really clear spot in the trailer, and I still hadn’t had my coffee yet! :love

And the “before” sink, which my favorite (16 years old now!) spaghetti pot, two lids, and frying pan were impossible to wash in, as water ended up all over the counter, and my and cuttingboards/baking sheets wouldn’t fit in it at all! The overall size difference isn’t “much” but the useable sink space is so much better!

Oh, and for baking sheets... they don’t make anything small enough for the RV oven... so we finally fixed that with the smallest one we could find (11x15”) and cut off the lip on both sides with the angle grinder and a metal cutting wheel! I can finally bake again (important for our buns for the Saturday Market!) 3 extra buns per batch speeds things up a lot. 24 buns in 1hr vs 25 in 1hr 40mins!

Necessity is the mother of invention!!! You have come up with some very creative solutions.

I’m hoping if I delay enough Andrew will get back here and disconnect it for me! So I’m lurking even longer online than usual “researching chicken stuff”. We had unscheduled showers yesterday thanks to leakage during replacement, so I’m a bit reluctant to crawl under there again. I’m glad when we finally get to fixing the toilet leak/ pedal issue that we won’t need to be under that :sick maybe I’ll start the afternoon chicken chores a little early?

Apart from being in awe of your abilities & smitten with kitty cuteness ~ that is the smartest draining board I've ever seen. Now I'm going hunting on~line for one just like it! :)

Thanks! They are available at most places that have RV stuff... it’s just a tiny dish drainer, and coincidentally fits suspended in the small portion of this sink. It is a bit of a pain to clean it though because it is so small. I actually bought 3 different drainers trying to find one to fit in the original RV sink... and to figure out which actually worked for us. One got donated and the other holds the clean dry dishes on the counter. Now I have a little purse tape measure that comes with me everywhere and dimensions of all the cupboards and closet spaces written down as I’m always looking for water-tight storage solutions that fit in all the little spaces. We originally tried to minimize our dishes and cutlery, 3 piece set for 3 people. That lasted about 2 months!

I’m stupidly happy to have finally found a functional sink that fits the space!
:ya:yesss::ya
Now I’m just hoping the silicone sealed up the joints enough... when I took it apart to silicone it, I noticed the drainpipe was sloped the wrong way, yes it’s going to be another shower night :sick. We had to re-fit everything, again. But, it’s all done now and curing... if it still leaks? Well, I’ve still got 1/2 a tube of silicone open and a bunch more in my cargo trailer ;) a full grocery bag labeled “caulk and stuff” with everything from lap sealant, to interior acrylic caulk and construction/marine adhesives! If it comes in a caulking tube, I probably have some!
