I got sucked into that one as well, but had the good sense to just lurk. Good news about the crop and routine. and for the leak, well, I HATE PLUMBING! I tried everything I could think of before calling the plumber out. Apparently the washer/insert has a top and bottom, and I had mine in upside down. $65 to flip over a washer. :he
I had a similar situation with our furnace in the city... the guy from the company I called for a “free estimate” literally just rubbed a $20 bill over a part and it worked just fine for the next two years. He kept the $20, I didn’t have to pay the minimum charge. That was back before we got the plastic money here!

Another set back... ms bumbles now has a prolapsed vent, so we will be treating that promptly when we get home, I noticed it just as we were leaving, and slathered it with antibiotic ointment after a quick wash up. Another reason I am not a huge fan of the production red layers... it’s just too many eggs for a poor chicken to be laying, and such big ones at that!

I read that one all the way through too but kept my mouth shut. There is an uncrossable divide where it seems people just can't see the other POV. As to what I was doing there...all knowledge is valuable. ;)
Ah, but there’s part of my point! You weren’t out to condemn carnivores. It reminds me of a recent trend here in North America, I don’t know if it’s a thing in Australia as well, but some Gay couples will drive significantly out of their way to attempt to have their wedding cake made at a Bakery where they know the baker is not comfortable with their relationship, which creates a whole hot debate over human rights and 15 minutes of fame for the discrimination.

Edit to add: this isn’t the majority of cases, usually all couples look to have their weddings be as nonhostile an event as possible, but every now and then there will be “that” big news story... then you find out there were six other bakeries closer to them that would have happily done the cake! And I’m not personally caring one way or another about how anyone lives their life. It’s not me, so I just choose not to be offended by it.

There’s currently a human rights tribunal going on in my province (3 actually, all with the same complaintant) a pre-op transgender woman who still has male parts looking for a “Brazilian” wax from small business owners (women working from home usually) then complaining of discrimination. It is ALL about the sensationalism, not equal rights in many cases IMO. And that whole thread reeked of the same, but it was quite entertaining... went on longer than I though it would TBH.

Agree on the LGBT thing ~ though our laws are slightly different. Besides, one of my things has always been archaeology & a little gallows humour is necessary...:gigI understand it offends some people but it's a coping mechanism in the face of trauma. If history teaches nothing else, it teaches there are many different ways people find to cope with the reality of death.

Oh Kris you hit a nerve. In HS let the kids decide which bathroom they want to use. ARG call me old fashioned but I remember those hormones working... :barnie:he

They had unisex loos in Europe over 30 years ago. I got assaulted in one so not a fan.

Well in other developments I’ve gotten the prolapse in, but I’m starting to cramp up a little... I’m holding it in for the last 1/2 hour or so, not a particularly happy chicken or chicken mom...
So are you seeing improvement...?
