I had a similar situation with our furnace in the city... the guy from the company I called for a “free estimate” literally just rubbed a $20 bill over a part and it worked just fine for the next two years. He kept the $20, I didn’t have to pay the minimum charge. That was back before we got the plastic money here!I got sucked into that one as well, but had the good sense to just lurk. Good news about the crop and routine. and for the leak, well, I HATE PLUMBING! I tried everything I could think of before calling the plumber out. Apparently the washer/insert has a top and bottom, and I had mine in upside down. $65 to flip over a washer.![]()
Another set back... ms bumbles now has a prolapsed vent, so we will be treating that promptly when we get home, I noticed it just as we were leaving, and slathered it with antibiotic ointment after a quick wash up. Another reason I am not a huge fan of the production red layers... it’s just too many eggs for a poor chicken to be laying, and such big ones at that!
