Good Luck future Marine! I went to boot camp in 1977 and served 30 years before retiring from the USCG! I spent some time in NC with the Marines doing patrol boat ops and had them sail with us in the carib doing drug patrols. My last unit was in Iraq for a year working with the Navy and Marines. If you learn one thing learn that the 5 (five) armed services work together! Semper Fi and Semper Paratus.

Even though I hear alot of people in this field dont like their jobs its what i at least want to try and start out with. later on if i decide i dont like it i can always look into something else when my contract comes up. I also it seems got a nice little bonus so that works out too! lol

It was totally closed, nothing available. Job slots just opened up for summer so we got first pick. Ive read and reread the paper work that I signed today, as well as i trust my recruiter - although i do understand that he is first and formost in it for himself and to get names signed up. I dont forget that part. But i do trust him to take care of what i need done.

That's an awesome job, glad you got one that you wanted. I ran into some of them in Iraq from time to time, they seemed to like what they were doing and they seemed like a pretty cool group usually.
