Little Confused!! California Whites!!

Me and my husband have recently hatched out some California Whites to add to our flock. Well the first batch hatched out really well and they were all yellow with black spots like californias have. My second batch hatched out 2 black ones and the rest are yellow with black spots. We got the eggs from a local farmer who raises nothing but Califonia Whites and we even seen the flock and there weren't any black ones among them. Not sure how this happened and was wondering if anyone out there could help.

California Whites are Heterozygous in nature, this means they are not pure for the dominant white gene(thats why you see black spots on their down) the California White is produce when a California Grey rooster is crossed with a White Leghorn hen, if somebody is breeding these Heterozygotes(California whites) then chances are that you will be hatching black chick down, you can expect some of those black chick with black down to be barred, you can check this if they have a white headspot...
