How old and what variety ?
Maybe you just need to explain to them you never eat eggs , you just want to incubate them
I have Blue and Black. 2 of them are old enough to lay, because they WERE laying ..... for about 3 weeks. Then I moved everyone around (stressing them, of course) into different pens. BUT, that has been over a month ago! There are 2 roos and 6 pullets in one pen. Is that a problem, ya think? The youngest ones are 7 months old.
I am telling you, dang crazy chickens get stressed over ANYTHING ! ! I just put new heated waterers in each pen, and this has now stressed them. My Gawd, what next???
My B/B/S have been slow to start laying , only one out of six at over six months , and not sure she continued as one of my EEs lays a blue egg also . Like you I moved them and their nest boxes and while some of the even older pullets in the other breeds are just getting started this week , the blues and greens slowed just a bit . I guess , compared to yours , I better not complain about mine .
Nite all , its been fun , and hope you all are doing good with the bators !
