He is alive... But his leg is really messed up

I will give him a good look over tomorrow... but I think he needs to be culled

I have a neighbor coming tomorrow to pick up 3 roos for sure and maybe 4 with redneck.

He just sits there but manages to move to the water and food, even the cold is not bothering him much.

awww....that's too bad

that just sucks....

Hopefully there is a boy hiding in your mix of youngsters growing out that are better than he is....

I only have one Black roo growing. I don't plan on keeping any extra chicks from this hatch... unless I see another little Redneck

I really think the boy I am keeping is my keeper for a long while.... He is really a looker, great color just hope he passes that to his fuzzybutts. May have a couple of Blue Copper Pullets coming

they are laying too

Spending way too much on birds... must be Christmas time

Yeah... I have a chick growing out too. I will keep him and see what happens, but have not seen any color on him yet...6-7 weeks. Redneck was all color at that age.

good deal! I was thinking of trying to get some update pics on things today, but core stuff like laundry and cleaning and prepping the floor to lay more flooring over the weekend too priority. I was thinking of getting a line up of my boys that will be used for breeding in the spring. I've got a few i'm pretty happy with!

awww..that's really nice of you to say. I don't want to think about how many birds I've culled to get to where I am now. I am still excited but nervous about hatching season this next spring. Its just hard to think that the carnation comb issue will never be something I'll face. I'll just have to be even more watchful of what I've got and cull immediately. I admit I'm doing window shopping a bit for some stock for this next spring.

if you ever have more questions you know how to get ahold of me. I love helping when i can

AM? you mean ameraucanas? I do have just one right now, but was raised around them. That's one of my mom's favorite breeds, so she had a nice flock of them as well as my uncle raises them.
