Thanks- and as promised: a fuzzy butt dried up and fluffy chicks pic...with Teddy. The big chicks next door had Teddy last week and seem to be only using him now (to stand on his head to get higher up in the brooder box ()![]()
Sadly the lame one who wasn't getting up had to be culled today. He (she) was spastic and shaking and had a small bulge of pink (spinal cord????) on it's back. It was one I helped hatch (since I was worried about shrink wrapping after last week's hatch) but I guess it wasn't meant to hatch... it wouldn't even stand when supported, it flipped it's head over and seemed to want to be on its side or back. We miss #12, but are so happy with #1-11. It was a great hatch...as I've stated before, for shipped eggs from TX to NJ. Wow!
