Good day...

God is relocating me from Georgia to San Bernadin, California for ministry, something I have for 3years dodging until all doors here are shut. I’m a semi prepper, meaning I’m not fully stocked but have things in place. I added chickens to my prep. So I have currently 15 babies 7 weeks old and 3 months old: 14 hens/1 bantam special needs cross beck which is a roo.

I’m concern about one, transporting and two, finding some rural area to move and rent. I custom made my chicken coop that I’m preplex about moving, selling, possible transporting them in vs. another plan I have. I’ve never traveled on route 40 so I’m not sure what to expect or I might encounter with all the crazy going on in America.

Open for Insight to travel and suggestions. Thank you!

I assume you mean San Bernardino. I would think long and hard about selling everything where you are. Buy anew when you have found a place. Chickens are easy to come by and if you don't currently have extremely rare, irreplaceable chickens, don't go through the hassle of moving everything 2,000 miles.

California is usually the last place a prepper chooses to go.

I agree it would be best to sell your flock and start over. This is a great time of year to buy started pullets. Granted, I'm in northern MN out in the sticks, but my local Craig's List is loaded with chickens of all ages right now. It may be different in CA, but I doubt it.

Extreme weather, state regulations, and and caring for the birds will make transport difficult.

Yes San Bernardino — typo…Haven’t moved yet, still praying for direction. May very well stay where I am but will consider your suggestion.
